UNDERSTANDING THE DIFFERENT NOVA THREADS
There are four types of NOVA Threads: smooth, twisted, single-barbed, and double-barbed.
1. Smooth Threads: This type of thread improves collagen stimulation. They are often placed in a net-like or mesh pattern and are most beneficial for treating crepe skin of the face, neck, and décolleté. Smooth threads also treat superficial wrinkles on the forehead, glabella lines, cheeks, smoker’s lines, marionette lines, and lines on the neck.

Proper aftercare after a PDO thread lift helps ensure a smooth recovery and the best results. Right after the procedure, you may notice some swelling, bruising, or tenderness. This is normal and usually fades within a few days.
To reduce swelling, apply a cold compress for short periods during the first 24 hours. Avoid touching your face or applying pressure to the treated areas. Sleep on your back with your head slightly elevated for the first few nights to avoid disturbing the threads.
Skip intense workouts, saunas, and hot showers for at least a week, as heat and strain can increase swelling. Be gentle when washing your face, and avoid facial massages for at least two weeks.
